01 — About Craig

A career built around people, practice and progress.

Craig Alexander is a fitness professional, educator and Director & Co-Owner of Anatomy Gyms.

His career combines hands-on coaching and business leadership with an MSc in Obesity & Weight Management, where his research focused on Motivational Interviewing and behaviour change.

His work increasingly explores healthspan and physical capability, particularly how evidence can be translated into practical ways of helping people become stronger, fitter and remain capable for longer.

03 — Healthspan

Capability is the point.

Capability is the point.

Living longer matters. But so does what we're physically capable of doing with those years.

Strength, fitness, power and physical capacity influence how we move, function and maintain our independence as we get older.

My work in healthspan is increasingly focused on understanding, measuring and improving those capabilities — and translating the evidence into something people can actually use.

Train for today. Build for tomorrow.

04 — Building Anatomy Gyms

Building an organisation with standards at its centre.

I joined Anatomy Gyms as a coach in 2019 and became a Director in 2022.

Since then, my role has grown from coaching members to helping lead and develop the wider business, its people, culture, coaching standards, member experience and continued growth.

Anatomy has become an important testing ground for many of the ideas that shape my work: how we develop people, maintain standards, build culture and continually ask one simple question, what can we improve?
